My parents were one of the first settlers on Tierra Verde Raising 5 children. They had a 65 foot luxury yacht which they kept at the Port O Call for years and used it basically every day of the year in those days. With the two homes we owned and several thousand acres of undeveloped lots it was a paradise including a airport and two golf courses

This sounds like so much fun! Cruise ships seem to now be offering movies by the pools every evening, but I’ve never seen anyone offer movies to people IN the pool! Very cool. I’m sure this would make a wonderful time for a family.

Looks like we just missed the May “Third Annual Asian Pacific Rim Festival.” My wife and I would have loved to attend this. I’ll bookmark the St. Petersburg International Folk Fair Society web site and aim to attend the Nov. event. Thanks for this info. There are so many cool things to in the Tampa Bay area.

I’ve never seen this water tower but it really is a work of art. Those stairs look quite inviting. Can people go up there and look around or are those stairs just for the water company employees?
